Understanding the keys to summer garden planting and care will lead to successful harvests and happy gardeners! With good systems in place, you can keep gardening fun while enriching your understanding of the garden ecosystem. This 3-hour class will include strategies for planting, soil fertility, irrigation,  pest, disease and weed control. We’ll also discuss training, pruning, harvesting and cooking from the garden.

Instructor Wendy Krupnick’s passion for over 35 years has been growing vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers, and sharing that passion with others. She was senior horticultural advisor and variety trials manager for Shepherd’s Garden Seeds, worked with many organic farming professionals, and teaches
classes for Master Gardeners and others. She is former Adjunct Faculty with SRJC’s Sustainable Agriculture Program.
