Come to Sunflower Community Garden for hands-on instruction in good
gardening techniques. Learn how to start your own seedlings in
containers and have success with seeding directly in the garden. See
different ways of creating vegetable beds and learn effective weeding
and irrigation methods. This workshop will offer demonstrations as well
as opportunities to try different methods of performing basic garden tasks.
Please bring drinking water, a hat and other clothing for outdoors work.

Instructor Wendy Krupnick has been growing vegetables, fruit, herbs and
flowers for over 30 years. She is currently Adjunct Faculty with SRJC’s
Sustainable Agriculture Program, teaches Master Gardener vegetable
classes, and assists home garden clients. She worked for a seed company
for 10 years and has worked on several organic farms and garden projects.
