The birds are singing!  The trees are shimmering in the sunlight!  The Theater is clean and decorated!  It must be time for the Chautauqua Revue!  Now in its eighth year, the Revue is a show like none other.  It is a delight for the eyes, a celebration of community, and manna for the soul all rolled into one rollicking good evening of fun.  Presenting a variety of performances that defy all expectations of what can appear on a single stage over the course of an evening, this year’s show will be no less surprising than past years’ offerings.  Already on board for this year’s show are:

Christina Lewis

 · David Hunt – slack  rope walker and juggler; co-founder of Oakland based Circus Bella
 · Faun Fables – Sonoma County “songteller” Dawn McCarthy’s incantatory performances with partner Nils Frykdahl (of Sleepytime Gorilla Museum)
 · Apostasy of the Sea Monkeys – a new “micromusical” from the incorruptible pen of Smirk Irksome
 · Arann Harris and Chris Vibberts of the Green String Farm Band
 · A careful study of gravity by Clowns On A Stick
 · The Revue’s band that makes it all happen on time and in step, Big B and His City Slickers

As new acts are added, we’ll let you know right here.

Last year’s show was such a sensation, we strongly suggest that you buy tickets in advance to the Friday and Saturday night shows.  We’ll be limiting the amount of tickets sold to the Friday and Saturday night shows this year due to the size of last year’s audiences.

If you haven’t been to a Revue at OAEC, please note the following: the weather can be everywhere from warm and still to cool and misty.  Wear layers.  Bring a cushion on which to sit.  Bring a flashlight.  And lastly, we’ll see you at the show!

Because we love the sound of kids laughing and cheering, we present a special one hour matinee each year for the edification of the little ones.  Clowns, sing-a-longs, circus performers, and storytelling. . .it’s a barrel of monkeys that will leave you smiling, no matter what your age.

Tickets:      Adults, $8-$15, sliding scale, Children (ages 4-15), $6, Under age 4, FREE

Advance tickets may be purchased through the means detailed under the description of the evening Revue, or at the door.  Same price either way.
